Joseph Carr, MD

Dr. Carr is originally from Sheridan, Indiana, and is excited to be returning to Central Indiana after spending the past five-plus years in private practice in Evansville. During that time, he built a strong reputation as a skilled cataract and refractive surgeon, helping patients achieve greater visual freedom and improved quality of life through advanced surgical techniques and personalized care.

A proud graduate of Purdue University, Dr. Carr is looking forward to serving patients in our Lafayette location and reconnecting with a community that already feels like home. His Midwest roots and commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care make him a wonderful fit for both our team and the patients we serve.

Outside of the operating room, Dr. Carr enjoys spending time with his wife and young son, embracing all things family life. He’s an avid vinyl enthusiast who appreciates the experience of listening to records the old-fashioned way, loves traveling to explore new places, and is always on the lookout for his next paddleboarding destination. Most of all, he is excited to be moving closer to home, surrounded by family, friends, and the community that helped shape him.
